Our mission is to protect and defend organizations against online threats for the long term so that they are able to achieve and maintain a strong cyber security posture. We achieve this through deep expertise, a caring mindset and a close interaction with our clients.

We do this by using on-premise infra and robust open-source software that is enterprise ready. We steer away from public cloud providers and closed-source software.

As a cyber security company, Breakpoint Security takes data privacy very seriously. We strive to protect the confidentiality and integrity of not only customer data, but our own data as well. To have full ownership, we utilize open-source technologies and steer away from public cloud providers and closed-source software. Our infrastructure is highly-available, fully automated and tightly secured. Data is securely stored through encryption-at-rest and backed up regularly.
Michiel Evers, the owner of Breakpoint Security, is just shy of 10 years of experience in cyber security and has worked as a senior consultant at various firms, mostly focusing on penetration testing. Additionally, Michiel has also been an active bug bounty hunter in the past for several years, where he has reached an all-time high within the top 30 of the European leaderboard on the Intigriti bug bounty platform. He has deep technical knowledge, sets the bar high for himself, is a clear and transparent communicator and is able to explain complex topics into simple terms. He cares deeply for his own work.
Throughout the years as a consultant, Michiel observed various pain points regarding security- and data privacy best practices and business operations which were not always in the best interest of the client. Unable to align his own mindset with these firms to improve these various aspects, an idea sprouted to start his own firm. This idea became a reality in April 2024, which marked the start of Breakpoint Security with it's first few clients. A cyber security company where the primary motivation is to protect and defend organizations, not monetary gain. Where there is a caring mindset towards clients. Where data privacy is taken very seriously. Where high skillsets and critical thinking are favored. Where quality services are delivered.
